Bhote Koshi River Clean-Up Campaign Kicks Off

Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) kicks of the "Bhote Koshi River Clean–Up Campaign 2017" at  Khadichaur suspension bridge area and ends to Sukute Beach on April 3rd and 4th 2017 (Chaitra 22 and 23, 2073), Sundhupalchk.

 NARA president Chandra P. Dahal exposed his visions with the slogan of " Save our Rivers as Heritage Rivers", "Save the Rivers for Tourism", "Save the Rivers for White Water Rafting" and "Keep our Rivers always Clean"  in a  clean-up campaign. Our minimum effort can be change so effectively that can be save the rivers for the tourist, ecology, human settlement, white water rafting and livelihood. Mr. president requested, this kind of awareness campaign must  be continue by the local community and clubs as we done to Trihuli River. Local Club representative responses and assured  to make the campaign been continue. He said Bhote Koshi has their sacred relation since the birth to death, it touches their native land to make them fertile each and every seconds . Local media and Kantipur reporters request to be aware and sensitive for their poor management system, aware them who even don't know himself doing wrong .

In the program NARA Executive Committee, Tourism Associations, Tourism Enterprenaurs and local club & communities were presented to make the campaign effective. The program was promoted by NTB, Organized by NARA, Supported by HARGAN, Rafting & Canoeing Association and Local Club and Communities. In the clean-up campaign NARA Executive Committee has handover garbage bags to local club. Participants collected garbage, animal bones, under garments, plastics bottles and other materials from the river sides. Participants started using by eight rafting boats to clean rivers side garbage headed from Khadichaur and ends to Sukute Beach.  In the evening NARA organized an interaction program at Sukute Beach Resort. President Mr. Dahal response media question of  Bhote Koshi Clean-Up Campaign long after been at Trishuli. Past President of NARA Mr. Mahendra Singh Thapa fears and clarify about the cause and effect of landslide of Jure, worst development condition of Bhote Koshi River and mining of sand and concrete from the river basin. If you spoil the bottom of the mountains no water would be left for drink, huge investment  could go in losses, turbines can be left in pieces of rust and there is no doubt empty hydropower dams can be left  behind you. So join our hands each other to prserve the planet green.

River Guide Training-2018 Concluded

Durga Dutta Dhakal, Executive Director of Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management(NATHM) distributed  the "Letter of Appreciation" for the guide training Instructors and temporary guide identification certificates to the 51 trainees as a chief guest at the "River Guide Trainin-2018" closing ceremony on 19th Janauary, 2018 at Charaudi, Trisuli River, organized by NARA and NATHM (7-19th January) 13 days long practical training.

Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) Executive Committee, Staffs and NARA member companies participated at the rally with the slogan of banner "Sustainable Tourism-A Tool for Development" – 2017. NARA EC has announced the "Rafting Program" on 25th September from Tribhuban International Airport and Pokhara Airport for 6 and 4 first coming international tourists to Trisuli and Upper Seti River.

River Guide Refresher Training Kicks off

Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies(NARA) organized the two days "River Guide Refresher Training-2017" for the  rafting guide certificate holder guides in a cooperation with Nepal Tourism Board from today on September 19, 2017 at Trisuli River.  

According to the training coordinator and NARA Secretary Visma Raj Thapaliya, President Nim B. Magar, Vice-President Kamal Thakuri, Secretary Vishma Raj Thapaliya and Dipak Nepal are participating as instructor-river. In First Aid Training Janardan Ghimire and in Leadership & Motivation Training Krishna Ghimire are also participating as instructors in the training.Similarly IPP Chandra P. Dahal, Executive Memeber Bishnuhari Silwal, Uddhab Kadel and Raju Khadka is participating at the refresher training program. It is believed that 60 participants would be taking parts in the training.

Chief election officer Iswari Prashad Bhattrai has taken the oath of office and certificate distributed with congratulation for the elected executive committee of NARA. Ongoing IPP Chandra Bdr. Dahal welcome to elected President Nim Bdr. Magar, ongoing General Secretary Shekhar B. Thapa exchange all the documents and Minute book to the elected General Secretary Shankar Adhikari and ongoing Treasurer Jagat B. Dahal exchange the financial documents to the elected treasurer Shishir Khanal at the program.

Nim Bahadur Magar elected in the 29th NARA Election. His team was succeeded to win the election, General Secretary Shiva Adhikari, Treasurer Shishir Khanal and Joint-Treasurer Rita Adhikari has already been declared.   Elected team was congratulated with Khada by NARA Past Presidents Kumar Ranabhat (Founder G.S),  Mahindra Singh Thapa and  I.P President Nanikaji Thapa in a program at the hall. Rescues Team of NARA have been working to Tarai areas since the couple of days with rafting gears to rescue the flood victims in a joint co-ordination of Armed Police Force of Nepal. In NARA history, organization has been playing a vital role in rescue mission whenever nation faced natural disaster and human catastrophic of flood.
